Parting is a creative collaboration between harpist Emily Hopkins and Old Blood Noise Endeavors: a box of pleasant surprises that blends glitch, ambient space, and controlled chance with a distinctly lo-fi edge—ranging from sample-rate degradation to long, broken reverse.

The central control, Dissolve, defines the pedal. Below noon it reduces sample rate for increasing aliasing/lo-fi degradation. Above noon it flips into reverse, repeatedly halving the reverse clock as you turn the knob for longer, more degraded reverse playback. On the left, selectable modulation (tremolo/vibrato and more shapes) adds motion; on the right, a delay that can be random or envelope-guided can be pushed with diffusion and feedback until it becomes a lush reverb-like wash.

Built for modern rigs, Parting offers stereo input/output with flexible routing, onboard presets, and full expression + MIDI control over all parameters, plus MIDI clock I/O for tight external sync. An Aux footswitch can handle tap tempo, half speed, or preset switching, and relay switching keeps foot noise minimal.
