This Marantz PMD 222 is in very good working and cosmetic condition and has been professionally modified to expand its creative possibilities.
The unit has been modified so the pitch control potentiometer can be used while the machine is connected and used as a tape delay unit. Thanks to this modification, the delay time is no longer limited to just two fixed speeds, allowing for greater and smoother variation in delay time by adjusting the pitch control. This makes it especially interesting for experimental music, dub, ambient, and studio sound design.
All original functions work as expected, and the modification does not affect normal playback or recording operation. The machine retains its classic warm analog tape sound, now with increased flexibility for delay and modulation effects.
