Stanford CR Marquee Classic Amber * Aged Thinline Prototype
Stanford CR Marquee Classic Amber - Aged Thinline Prototype- Les Paul style with Seymour Duncan Antiquity
I’m shrinking my guitar collection and selling (with a lot of regrets :(…) this high-quality aged thinline prototype by Stanford, which unfortunately never went into production… This guitar which looks amazing on stage is therefore a unique piece.
Originally equipped with two "PAF Style" humbucker pickups, classically managed Paula style, which already sounded great, my luthier replaced nevertheless them with new AMAZING Seymour Duncan Antiquity (value : 550 € ; see Thomann shop ) which are authentically aged vintage humbucker pickups that deliver the aesthetic and tone of the most elusive vintage P.A.F. humbuckers. This has become a real ROCK maschine! The Sound which is incredible with the Seymour Pickups even impressed my luthier who couldn’t help playing and testing it !!!. Please note that the original PAF style humbuckers are also part of the package and will be delivered if the buyer needs them.
At a glance:
- Chambered body made of mahogany with solid curly maple top.
- "Long Tenon" mahogany neck ("Big C" profile) with rosewood fingerboard (12 radius)
- 22 medium jumbo frets
- Seymour Duncan Antiquity
- Kluson style tuners
Weight: 3 kg.
The guitar is incredibly light and resonant. The sound is balanced, warm yet sparkly, and the guitar is just amazingly dynamic which the pickups translate incredibly well.
Perfectly tuned and top playable instrument for traditional guitar sounds. Due to the thinline construction, this guitar sounds very bluesy, vintage and versatile: perfect for rock, hard rock, blues and even jazz. It produces exactly the typical airy warm tone that only a good "ES Style" guitar can produce.
Comes exactly as pictured in an Ibanez gig bag.
Well maintained and clean top condition with aging from factory - see pictures. Only thing worth mentioning is a small crack on the side that was repaired by the luthier and two tiny little dents (only visible when one looks at it very closely) (see detailed picture). Anyway it’s an aged guitar : ir’s adding to the value of the guitar which looks awesome. The frets have no visible signs of play.
All in all, this guitar looks and sounds like a vintage guitar dating from the 50s. Absolutely amazing .
ENJOY:-)
