• Condition & Vintage Mojo: This bass has real rock 'n' roll history. It features an authentic, dark cigarette burn mark on the headstock from gigging back in the 1980s. The neck edges show beautiful natural wear from decades of playing, making it incredibly comfortable to hold. The body has minor, honest dings and cosmetic marks that are barely noticeable at first glance, consistent with a well-loved 50-year-old vintage instrument.
• Pickups: 100% factory original 1975 "Grey Bottom" pickups. They deliver that classic, punchy, and growly CBS-era tone. The original ink stamp code 164475 is visible on the bottom (manufactured in the 44th week of 1975).
• Electronics: 100% original 1970s electronics. The tone pot features the correct 250K value and stamps the historical Fender part number 032367 on the metal. Factory solder joints are intact.
• Body, Neck & Weight: Original 1975 body and neck with incredible resonance and great playability. True to the mid-70s era, it features a solid Northern Ash body with a beautiful grain. The bass weighs around 4.8 kg (approx. 10.5 lbs), offering that classic heavy sustain and solid feel that these years are famous for.
• Modifications: The pickguard plastic plate was replaced back in the 90s with an official Fender replacement due to the original cracking. The pickguard mostly retains its original 1975 factory Phillips (cross-head) screws, but 5 screws were swapped over the years for flat-head screws (the flat-head screw located just below the neck is structurally frozen/rusted from aging and has been left untouched to protect the wood). Also, one bridge screw for the low-E string saddle was replaced as the original was lost.
