Unique Synthy-Edged Guitar Overdrive High Resonance Filtering Multiple Control Options Amazing Sound and Display A Brand New Kind of Effect

The Air Traffic Controller blends an optimized distortion circuit from Rainger FX with a white noise "whistle" generator, and sends the sound through a low-pass filter. The filter's cutoff frequency is controlled in three ways: by the note's envelope (volume), the note's pitch, or in random mode.

SOUNDS

This yields variations ranging from a biting funky tone, airy wisps of sound (hence the name), to fusiony soloing with "synth-like tracking," to dense walls of distortion, and guitar/electronic percussion morphing. It's an incredibly versatile palette of sounds that has never been possible before.

The white noise mimics the guitar's dynamic sound, starting loud at the beginning of the note and then fading to complete silence when the guitar is off. For a pedal that does so much, it's incredibly quiet when it should be.

CONTROLS

"Distortion" adjusts the amount of distortion, "Air-Signal" controls the blend of guitar and white noise (ranging from just the guitar to all white noise and everything in between). "Resonance" lets you adjust the noticeable cutoff frequency, while "Level" determines the output volume.

The top panel features a three-way rotary knob for control filtering options, a 'DC' socket, and a "Hi/Lo" button to let you know if your guitar is active or passive.

The LED display pattern lights up with each new burst of notes.
