In close cooperation with Gibson USA, Epiphone now offers the Epiphone Alex Lifeson Les Paul Custom Axcess in Ruby, a very special instrument for Rush fans that expertly captures Alex Lifeson's characterful sound and playing style and visually presents itself as the ideal combination of Vintage Les Paul Charm and modern heavypointments. Accordingly, the Singlecut electric guitar with a chiccurly maple top offers a full set of features, including Floyd Rose tremolo and split Epiphone Probucker pickups.

Alex Lifeson has always sworn by the modernized design of the Les Paul Axcess. Completely designed with ergonomics in mind, the Paula combines classic Les Paul features with a slim neck heel for accessibility to the highest fretboard positions and features an additional stabilizing flute at the junction with the headstock. The classic LP recipe, on the other hand, is followed by the solid mahogany body with a likewise solid maple top and additional AAA-quality curly maple veneer.

To do justice to Alex Lifeson's enormous tonal versatility, the Epiphone Alex Lifeson Les Paul Axcess Standard Viceroy Brown relies on the combination of an Epiphone Ceramic Pro h umbucker in neck position and a ProBucker 3 at the bridge. Both humbuckers can be split separately via the push/pull functionality of the volume knobs, resulting in interesting combinations of punchy humbucker sounds and wiry tones of the single coil sound.
