For sale a breathtaking, and very rare example of 1965 Stratocaster, in almost immaculate condition.
This guitar was purchased as an investment many years ago, from a reputable London dealer (Vintage & Rare of Denmark Street) and comes with its certificate of authenticity issued by the seller.
The instrument is in pristine condition, almost untouched, with original tags, hard case, leather strap, tremolo bar and ashtray bridge cover present. All solder joins, circuitry, finish, etc ALL IN ABSOLUTE UNTOUCHED condition.
I will open the guitar for photos only upon demand from serious enquirers. In the interim, there are multiple photos of the certificate of authenticity available now on the gallery.
As an avid Fender player, I adore the tone of this instrument, punchy, smooth, equally at ease playing funk chops chord, soul, blues or rock, which is a tribute to the inspiration and vision Leo Fender put in his company until the end.
For those of you who don't know, 1965 was a transition year for Fender, at a time when the company was in the process of being taken over by CBS. The number plate displays the famous letter 'L' and the pick up bases are a colour grey. All other specs are mostly identical to 1964.
This guitar is sold at a premium price given the uniqueness of condition, the extras provided, as well as its historical importance.
Given its value and prestige, I would favour a professional or collector buyer who can travel to Madrid to pick it up (FEDEX shipment also possible but please contact me to get an insurance quote from FEDEX in this case, as IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE POSTAGE PRICE).
Any questions please direct message me.
