The Ibanez Prestige AZS2200-MGR Mint Green combines the optimized playing and sound characteristics of the sought-after AZ models with arguably the most traditional guitar design to create an instrument that is perfectly tailored to the modern playing techniques and sonic vision of hip fusion styles. While the classically styled alder body features the Super All Access Neck Joint, the bolt-on neck made of S-Tech Wood Roasted Maple fits comfortably in the hand. An SH pickup setup with a Seymour Duncan Magic Touch-mini humbucker on the neck and an Alnico II Pro Custom single coil on the bridge, in conjunction with the flexible dyna-MIX5 circuitry, ensures multi-faceted guitar tones between "twangy" cleans and creamy overdrive on the guitar amp. Last but not least, a Gotoh T1802 2-point tremolo and tuning stable Gotoh Magnum Lock tuners complete the Prestige AZS2200-BK Black.

For the classically inspired design of the Prestige AZS2200, Ibanez relies on high-quality tonewoods and optimized playing characteristics. In addition to the supple belly carve and the bevelled support for the forearm, the alder body features the flowing Super All Access Neck Joint, which guarantees unhindered access to the highest registers. Made of especially stable and resonance-friendly S-Tech Wood Roasted Maple, the four-bolt neck in the "AZ Oval C" profile fits perfectly in the hand, so that even complex playing techniques can be implemented with ease. The carefully crafted stainless steel binding with Prestige Fret Edge treatment also promises particularly smooth bends in all positions, while fluorescent Luminlay side dots in the fretboard flank guarantee optimal orientation even on dark stages.

As pickup for the AZS2200 electric guitar Ibanez chooses a SH setup of the Californian pickup guru Seymour Duncan, which promises a multi-faceted as well as traditional sound spectrum. At the bridge, the Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro Custom single coil surrounded by a metal plate provides extremely clear brilliance and the coveted twang in the tone. The Seymour Duncan Magic Touch-mini humbucker used in the neck position, on the other hand, combines the typical warmth of dual-coil pickups with enormous transparency and is thus ideally suited for jazzy clean sounds and singing leads in the overdrive channel. The AZS2200's dyna-MIX5 circuit, built from a 3-way blade switch and an Alter Switch, calls up additional split and parallel pickup circuits alongside the classic pickup combinations, expanding the electric guitar's tonal spectrum and striking timbres.

The Ibanez Prestige AZS2200-MGR Mint Green is completed by hardware equipment that is optimally matched to the playing and sound characteristics of the electric guitar. The bridge is the Gotoh T1802 2-point tremolo known from the AZ series, whose smooth handling invites harmonic whammy bar embellishments of melodies or chords. Six precisely adjustable string saddles also guarantee exact intonation and optimal string position. At the headstock, the strings are first guided over an oil-impregnated bone saddle before they find a hold on the precise Gotoh Magnum Lock locking tuners with Height Adjustable Post (H.A.P.), which make the contact pressure of the strings on the nut adjustable.
