Here is a scarce Fender Japan model. It is an early 90's Grunge Era 1968 reissue Stratocaster in factory finished Olympic White (ST68-TX). These don’t come up often and were produced in much smaller numbers than the ST-57s & 62s etc. This one was built at the renowned FujiGen plant in Japan back in 1993-94 (MIJ N-serial number) it has a resonant alder body with a maple cap (7.25 radius), stripeless maple neck, the cool larger resonant ’68 headstock with the CBS era decals, 4 bolt neck plate, stamped steel saddles and 3 x killer sounding USA Texas Special single coil pickups. There’s a maple neck with nice vintage 7.25" radius fingerboard and a 3-ply white pickguard. It is still all factory spec with no mods or repairs. The Oly white finish has aged to a deep yellow/cream and the maple used for the neck and fingerboard has naturally darkened giving it a real vintage vibe. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine and plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. Weight is 3.6kg. No structural or electrical issues. It is over a quarter of a decade old now so don't expect a soulless new guitar. This thing has some real world ageing going on, some scuffing around the edges, little well worn-in and aged darkened paint chips, nicks around the bottom edge and some yellowing of the plastics etc. It looks superb. If you’re not interested in souless Mexican guitars are after something that blows them out of the water the this is the one for you. A great chance to pick up a rare Fender Japan warrior.
