About this listing
The Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass Black is an authentic recreation of the '72 Jazz Bass that the Rush frontman bought in a pawn shop in 1978 and from then on used as his number one bass on stage and in the recording studio. Based on the original '70s specs, this four-string not only features an alder body in a comfortable offset design, but also an extremely slim maple neck with block inlays and fretboard bindings. The articulate "Thin C" neck profile with the usual 38 mm nut width promises optimal playability for fast and complex prog-rock grooves. Two Fender American Vintage Jazz Bass single-coil pickups ensure powerful yet transparent bass sounds that precisely portray every note, even with juicy distortion. Last but not least, a Geddy Lee High Mass bridge, whose solid construction supports the sound development and sustain of the four-string, as well as precise open-gear tuners in '70s style complete the Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass Black. The Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass Black at a glance:4-string electric bass from the Fender Artist SeriesGeddy Lee (Rush) signature modelAlder bodyBolt-on maple neckMaple fingerboard with black block inlays and black binding"Thin C" neck profileTwo Fender American Vintage Jazz Bass single-coil pickupsPassive electronics with two volume controls and treble controlGeddy Lee high-mass bass bridgeFender '70s style open-gear tunersFender Deluxe gig bag included
