About This Model
The Boss ME-50B is a dedicated bass multi-effects pedal built around Boss's COSM amp modelling technology, covering six discrete effect sections: Compressor/Limiter, Master EQ, Filter/Tone, Drive/Synth, Delay/Modulation, and Volume/Expression. With 23 dedicated knobs and three footswitches, every parameter is accessible without menu-diving, making real-time tweaking on stage straightforward. Bass-specific tools include a Defretter effect, Synth section, Sound Hold for sustained notes, Octave Up/Down, and a Kick Drum function useful for looping. A built-in chromatic tuner, noise suppressor, and headphone output round out the feature set, and the onboard expression pedal handles wah, volume, or other assignments. Connection is via standard 1/4-inch mono jacks, with power from 6 AA batteries or a 9V DC adapter.
