It sits right at the top of the classic Gibson archtop tree, with that huge body, elegant headstock, split block board and all the visual drama you want from a flagship hollow body. In Tobacco Burst it looks exactly right too, as it suits the carved archtop look brilliantly and gives the guitar that proper old-school jazz box presence. These Historic examples are especially appealing because they still feel very much like serious handmade instruments rather than just luxury showpieces. A very classy Gibson and one of those guitars that carries a lot of weight both visually and historically.Condition Report: Clean overall. There is some nitro checking and a few very small impressions present, but nothing excessive.
