80's 2x Ddrum Pad by Clavia AB, 10 inch, piano black finish vintage

Pair early Clavia AB Ddrum Pads 10 inch from the mid-1980s

These instruments are in excellent condition and fully functional, with proven reliability both on stage and in studio recording environments. They have undergone a thorough, professional restoration both cosmetically and technically bringing them to a standard that is exceptionally rare for pieces of this vintage. Finding DDrum pads from this era in such clean, fully working condition is uncommon.

The pads have been upgraded with modern, highly sensitive triggers installed beneath the head identical to those used in the DDrum 4 Cast Precision Series Mesh Pads and the well-known red DDrum triggers. This enhancement allows the use of quiet mesh heads as an alternative, making these unique and visually striking pads adaptable to contemporary playing environments. The pad is fitted with a new high quality double ply mesh head by Black Hawk.

For the demo video, I selected samples that translate clearly when recorded on a phone, ensuring their response and dynamics are easy to hear. Visually, the pads are stunning, and when fitted with mesh heads, they operate extremely quietly an ideal solution for home studios while still being perfectly suited for live performance.

Thanks to the use of standard trigger technology, the pads are compatible with a wide range of popular drum modules. I have personally used them with DDrum 4 / 4SE, Alesis Strike Multipad, SPD SX pro, Roland TD-20, TD-9, Black Hawk systems.

Cables and stand are not included. The mounting hardware is compatible with Tama standards; optimal tom holder rod diameter is 10.5 mm.
