With its classic black finish, rosewood fingerboard and maple neck, this American Standard from 1994 delivers everything you want from a no-nonsense Stratocaster. It features the modern C-shaped neck, medium jumbo frets, and the Fender American Standard pickups of that era: clear, punchy, and perfect for everything from clean funk to crunchy blues. It’s got some honest playwear on the back but feels solid and resonant exactly what you want from a nearly vintage USA-made Strat. And this guitar is super light with just under 3.3kg!
1994 marked Fender’s 40th anniversary, and while this guitar isn’t part of the official anniversary series, it was built in that special year at the Corona factory. That gives it just a bit of extra story and appeal for players looking for a ‘90s American Strat with heritage.
