Rare J.C.R. Percussion Bronx NY Large Timbales Cowbell – Cali Rivera Handmade – Near Mint 8¼"

A rare opportunity to own a masterpiece from one of the greatest cowbell makers, the late Cali Rivera.

This large Timbales cowbell was handcrafted by Calixto “Cali” Rivera in his small J.C.R. Percussion workshop in the Bronx, New York.

Condition: Near Mint / Mint (Used)

• Original gold J.C.R. PERCUSSION BRONX, NY 10452 stickers on both sides, well preserved
• Clearly stamped "BY J.C.R." multiple times
• Original triangle mounting bracket + screw included and fully functional
• Clean welds, polished raw steel finish with only light natural aging
• No dents, no cracks, no damage

Exact Measurements (taken with tape measure – see detailed photos):

• Height: 21cm (≈8.25")
• Width at mouth: 15cm (≈5.9")
• Depth: 5.7cm (≈2.25")

Sound: Powerful, dry, cutting attack with tight midrange, short decay and excellent projection. This is the real classic Bronx cowbell sound — punchy, focused and perfect for cascara, mambo and salsa.
