Finished in an eye-catching Blue Burst, this 1991 Fender Stratocaster Plus is a USA-built example of one of Fender's most innovative Strats of the era. In excellent condition and loaded with Lace Sensor pickups, it delivers classic Stratocaster style with a handful of clever upgrades that still feel modern today.
Introduced in the late '80s, the American-made Strat Plus was Fender's high-performance take on the Stratocaster, aimed squarely at the working player. It brought in features like Lace Sensor pickups, locking tuners and a roller nut for improved tuning stability, and famously became the basis for Eric Clapton's signature model. The Blue Burst finish over an alder body makes this particular example especially striking.
At the heart of the Plus sits a set of three Fender Lace Sensor Gold pickups, voiced to deliver classic, vintage-style Stratocaster tone with sparkling highs and a warm midrange, but with far less of the hum associated with traditional single coils. Wired to a five-way switch and Fender's TBX tone control, this Strat offers an unusually wide sweep of usable sounds, from glassy cleans to fuller, thicker voicings.
This example is in excellent condition and remains very clean, with some scratches to be found mainly on the back of the body. At just 3.4 kg it's a comfortable, easy-playing guitar, and the slim C neck with its 9.5" fingerboard radius gives it a fast, modern feel. The locking tuners and two-point tremolo keep everything stable and in tune. It comes complete with a hardshell case.
