Here for sale we have a Fender Mexican Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Midnight Blue finish. Made in Mexico in 2001, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 21 fret Maple fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted, including a 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Synchronized Tremolo and Fender Die-Cast Sealed tuning machines. A trio of Fender Standard Strat single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume neck tone and middle tone controls. The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip when chord playing, yet remaining slim enough for fast articulate lead lines. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck has been buffed to a gloss from previous playing and is pleasant to the touch, and assists with smooth and speedy navigation of the 25.5" scale. The Maple fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 9.5" radius provides a smooth, durable and practical surface for a wide variety of playing styles and techniques. This is enhanced by the Vintage frets, which encourage faster playing whilst improving the feel of string bending and vibrato techniques. The trio of Fender Standard Strat single-coil pickups installed in this guitar deliver traditional Stratocaster tones in spades, with 5-way switching and comprehensive controls providing the wide range of versatile tones that the Strat is famous for. The neck is warm and round whilst providing all the power required to push your solos to the front of the mix. Light to mild indentations are present to all aspects of the headstock, the most apparent of these can be seen to the top edge where white markings are also present. Mild delamination of the lacquer finish is present to the front face, not exposing the wood.Neck: Overall very good condition. Light to mild scratching and indentations are present to both the rear of the neck and fingerboard, these can be slightly felt in the playing position but do not impact the overall playability of the instrument. Light discoloration is present to the fingerboard at either side of the frets across the register. The Satin finish to both the rear of the neck and fingerboard has worn to a Gloss consistent with playwear. The lacquer finish has lightly chipped away to both the bass and treble side edges of the fingerboard, this has exposed the wood beneath.Body: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentation to all aspects of the body is most apparent to the edges of the body. This is most notable to the bass side of the rear face lower bout where the finish beneath the lacquer has been exposed. Light to mild scratching is present to all aspects of the body, these can be seen under direct light.Condition of Frets:The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.Current Set Up:Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (3/16" hex) not included.Hardware: Very good condition with light oxidation of the saddles & scratching to the jackplate.
