Video: The Keeley Halo, an Andy Timmons Signature Delay

Keeley Electronics has just unveiled a brand-new signature stompbox called the Halo Andy Timmons Dual Echo. Its most unique feature is that it puts Andy Timmons' revered "halo" modulated dual echo sound into a selectable preset right on the unit.

Outside of the halo effect, there are four delay modes—quarter note, dotted eighth, bucket brigade, and vintage multi-head tape echo—and users can pair them to work in tandem.

Players can further craft their desired delay to taste with shelving filters, tone, and saturation controls, as well as with features like on-board tap tempo, infinite hold, and more. If you dial-in something you particularly like, you can also save it as a preset for easy recall later. More of the pedal's specs from Keeley include:

  • Can function as two delay pedals with up to 1500 ms of available delay time—save different sounds to A and B, then switch between the two.
  • 8 factory presets loaded with new delay and modulation sounds.
  • Status light indicates when you’ve adjusted a knob from home settings.
  • Soft stomp switches for tap tempo, infinite hold, preset save/recall, and more.
  • Remote switching and programmable expression pedal control.
  • DREAM multi-core DSP for stunning sound quality.
  • True-Bypass or Trails.
  • Made in the USA from globally-sourced parts.
