The Studio Lite addresses one of the oldest complaints about the Les Paul thanks to its weight-relieved construction: its weight! This example weighs only 3.43 kg (7.56 lbs). The body and neck are made of mahogany, while the top is maple. It features a rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius, providing the classic Les Paul playing feel. The pickups are among the hottest in Gibson's lineup: a 496R in the neck position and a 500T in the bridge. This ceramic-magnet humbucker duo was also found on models such as the Les Paul Classic, Flying V, and Explorer. This guitar dates from one of Gibson's most highly regarded eras: the 1990s. More specifically, it was built in 1994, the year of Gibson's 100th anniversary.
