This guitar is a true survivor from Gibson's late-80s era, offering the full, legendary Les Paul Custom tone but in a much lighter, thinner, and more ergonomic body style (featuring the factory belly cut).

Condition & Aesthetics: The guitar is structurally perfect with no breaks, cracks, or repairs of any kind. The neck-to-headstock joint is completely intact and solid. The finish features a gorgeous, 100% natural weather checking in the nitrocellulose lacquer, giving it an incredible authentic vintage mojo that no modern relicing can replicate. The gold hardware shows very little wear, which is extremely rare for a guitar of this age.

Electronics & Pickups (100% Original):

• Pickups: Factory-original Gibson "Tim Shaw Era" Humbuckers with the original "Pat. No. 2,737,842" stamped on the baseplates.
• Wiring: The wiring loom is untouched. All solder joints are factory-original.
• Coil-Tap Switch: Features the original factory mini-switch for coil-splitting, which functions perfectly. Most of these models were butchered in the 90s to add a second tone pot—finding one with an untouched, original circuit like this is incredibly rare.

Hardware & Modifications:

• Tuners: The original tuners have been upgraded to gold Sperzel Locking Tuners for rock-solid tuning stability.
• Reversibility: IMPORTANT: This modification is 100% completely reversible. No new holes were drilled into the headstock; the Sperzel locating pins utilize the existing footprint, and the original screw holes are left completely clean and visible. (Please note: the original tuners are not included).
