The Fender Blue Flower Stratocaster was made between 2002 and 2004 and is a rare and high quality reissue model from Fender Japan. This specific series is known for its unique finish, which is not painted but created by attaching a patterned foil paper to the body before varnishing it with a blue "burst" finish on the edges.
These guitars are based on a 1957 model platform (often designated as the ST57-88BFL) rather than the original 1968 era where the finish was first introduced on Telecasters.
The frets are in good condition. The pickups has been changed for a set of Earl Slick alnicos. Original pickups are included. Cosmetic condition: Some nicks and dents around the sides of the body but the front and back of the body looks great. This guitar plays like butter, if you like how Fender Japan guitars play, you are gonna love this one.
Body: Made of basswood,Neck & Fingerboard: A maple neck with a,"C" shape. It has a vintage radius of 7.25 inches and 21 small vintage frets. Weight: 3.52kg
These were limited production, often intended for the Japanese domestic market (Domestic) or as limited export models to Europe and the US.
