Called one of the ugliest sounding pedal ever made. Perhaps indeed. I ran it to an amp keeping the guitar idle and it created phased sounds of fire crackle, sirens, horns. Basically it's a doomsday device in your hands. When played then the sound reminds me some kind of a post apocalyptic rock horror musical (hint). So if you want a sitar sound, then get an actual sitar or the EHX pedal. Comes with an original box, Danelectro 9v pedal(I haven't tesed the battery slot), no power adaptor.
