Behringer MonoPoly - Sold with original box and adapter
The name says it all: the original MonoPoly, released in 1982, was a monophonic analogue synthesiser that could also be played polyphonically. The trick behind this feat lay in the individual assignment of each of the four VCOs to an independent voice before they were processed by the shared filter and VCA. This concept made the MonoPoly an affordable alternative not only to the large polyphonic synths of the time, but also to its monophonic rivals such as the Minimoog and the ARP Odyssey. During the 1990s, the MonoPoly became something of a secret weapon on the dance music scene, as its four VCOs could produce powerful basslines and very rich leads. As a result, its price on the second-hand market has continued to rise. Much to our delight, Behringer has faithfully and meticulously recreated this great classic, whilst adding a few welcome modern touches – thus making this characterful synthesiser accessible to everyone once again.
