Core Tube Architecture & Tone

• All-Tube Signal Path: Driven by 3 x 12AX7 preamp tubes and 2 x EL84 power tubes, delivering the iconic British "chime," glassy cleans, and harmonically rich overdrive. 
• Two Distinct Channels:
• • Normal Channel: Features a single volume control, bypassing complex EQ circuitry for a pure, raw, pedal-friendly clean tone.
  • Top Boost Channel: Includes dedicated volume, treble, and bass controls. This is the high-gain channel responsible for the classic Vox midrange growl and bite.
• Global Controls: A master volume control paired with the traditional Vox Tone Cut control (which reduces high-end frequencies when turned clockwise) shapes both channels globally.

Built-In Attenuator & Effects

• Reactive Power Attenuator: The defining feature of the head variant. A rear-panel rotary knob utilizes Vox's Reactor Technology to maintain the dynamic interaction between the amp and speaker while lowering the output power. It scales across three settings:
• • 15 Watts (Full stage power)
  • 1.5 Watts (Studio/rehearsal levels)
  • 0.15 / One-Sixth Watt (Bedroom/low-volume practice)
  • Note: The built-in attenuator operates exclusively when driving a 16-ohm speaker load.
• Classic Effects: Includes a built-in spring reverb and a highly responsive analog tremolo circuit (with dedicated speed and depth knobs) affecting both channels. 

Hardware & Connectivity

• Speaker Outputs: Dual 1/4" jacks with a switchable 8-ohm or 16-ohm impedance selector to run extension cabinets like the matching Vox V212C. 
• Footswitch Input: Features a dedicated jack on the rear panel to remotely toggle the built-in reverb and tremolo via an optional dual footswitch (such as the Vox VFS2A). 
• No Effects Loop: True to vintage styling, the AC15CH relies entirely on front-of-amp pedal interaction.
