The Gretsch G9221 Bobtail Round-Neck Spider Cone Electro-Resonator (Steel) is a 6-String Guitar from the Roots Collection Series, which beautifully captures the feel and sound of 1930s classic Instruments. The G9221 utilises 99% Pure Aluminium in combination with a Gretsch Ampli-Sonic “Spider” Diaphragm, to produce the rich and textured tones most readily attributed to Folk and Bluegrass styles. The Resonator “Spider” Cone (Diaphragm) is created by hand in Eastern Europe, and gives Resonator Guitars their unmistakable sound and appearance. The G9221 is finished with a Natural Steel “Weathered Pump House Roof” style.A Nashville Series Spider-Style Resophonic Pick-Up is added to the G9221, allowing players to more easily amplify their Instrument in live or studio scenarios.
