Here for sale we have a Gretsch G5420T Electromatic Hollow Body Electric Guitar in Orange Stain finish. Built in Korea in 2020, this guitar features a Laminated Maple top, back and sides along with a Maple neck with 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware features consists of a Bigsby B60 Vibrato Tailpiece, a Rosewood-based Adjusto-Matic and a set of Vintage-Style Open-Back tuning machines. The pickups featured are a pair of Gretsch Black Top Filter'Tron pickups, wired to a 3-way selector, master volume, master tone and individual pickup volume controls. The Maple neck sits comfortably in hand, with the Thin 'U' profile feeling slim and quick, providing a comfortable and ergonomic playing surface. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck provides effortless navigation up and down the neck, whilst the 12" radius Rosewood fingerboard provides a nicely flat and consistent playing experience right the way up the register. The single cutaway body design provides great access to the higher frets, great for those fast lead lines. The hollow construction provides a responsive and resonant tone, with ‘Trestle Block’ bracing that improves tone by increasing sustain and decreasing feedback, this provides an unpronounced yet well defined low end that is complimented by a warm midrange and detailed high frequencies, this coupled with the Black Top Filter'Tron pickups provide a thick, warm voicing, with distinct top-end that is articulate and well-defined. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. The top edge demonstrates an indentation to the centre that has marked but not removed any of the finish.Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates very light scratching, only visible under direct light and close scrutiny. The fingerboard demonstrates light scratching, most notably at frets 7 and 9. None of these markings can be felt beneath the strings or by the hand in playing position.Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. Any other markings to the body are difficult to discern.Condition of Frets:The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.Current Set Up:Truss Rod: Fully functional.
