The Binary Pulsar from Rainger FX expands their phenomenal Deep Space Pulsar into the stereo realm, creating two channels of rhythmic tremolo and sidechaining with expressive, real-time control. With its fully stereo signal path, the Binary Pulsar brings Rainger's unique filtered tremolo to any signal chain. Rather than simple volume-based tremolo, this enables a characterful tremolo sound that uses filtering to cut volume rhythmically, with resonance control that invites sweeping warbles and space-grade zaps. While equally useful as an unsynchronized tremolo, the Binary Pulsar shines when tied to the rhythm of your music, with multiple ways to get in sync via the onboard tap tempo control, an external sidechain XLR/TRS input, or even with gate signals from a modular synth set-up. Select between divisions of four, eight, sixteen, or twelve for rhythmic variety, and use the inversion switches to flip the filtering movement, creating resonant pulses rather than cuts for either both or only one channel of the stereo image.

On the knobby side of things, you get a width control for spreading these ping-ponging pulses between stereo channels, while Hold and Release controls adjust the pulse movement as it dips in and out. Also onboard is a digital distortion effect for injecting additional character into your sound. Likewise, the tap tempo pad can be held down for momentary or latching flanging-like distortion effects, giving you plenty of ways to interact with the effect during performance. While fully digital, the pedal also features an analog warming circuit that can be engaged on the back panel, perfect for warming up the digital sound for cozy tremolo effects. Equally at home on your pedalboard or in a desktop electronics rig, the Binary Pulsar from Rainger FX is an out of this world effect sure to bring new musical possibilities to any live or studio set-up.
