Selmer Paris De Ville trumpet (1964)

This is a Selmer Paris De Ville trumpet from 1964. The De Ville trumpet is fairly lightweight and consequently the tone feels light too, landing on the bright side of the spectra, but not overly bright.

This one looks like it's been through some work, hence the low price. There are visible traces of work on the tuning slide and maybe on the end of the leadpipe as well as on the leg leading from the tuning slide to the valve block with traces of soldering. The bell looks fine, but it is not perfectly even everywhere and there also a couple of small dings which you can see on the photos. The silver plate is worn in some areas. Valves work well and compression is good.

It plays fine, but I need to have the tuning slide a little bit further away than usual. The old case in the photos is included, but no mouthpiece.

Nothing has been done to the recording; it's a one-take with no reverb, no compression, no normalisation, no EQ.
