Gibson Les Paul Custom 1987 – Alpine White (Beautifully Aged to Cream/Yellow)

I bought this guitar last summer. I am just an amateur guitarist who honestly thought I would become the next Randy Rhoads :)I spent over a year searching the entire globe for the best-looking and lightest Alpine White Les Paul Custom I could find, and this was the winner. It weighs in at 4.1 kg (approx. 9.0 lbs) and is exceptionally well-balanced.As you can see in the photos, it is no longer pure white but has naturally aged into that gorgeous, highly sought-after cream/yellow finish that these late 80s Gibsons get over time. There are a few minor dings here and there as shown in the pictures—some on the neck and a few on the back of the body, but nothing out of the ordinary for a vintage instrument of this caliber.

History & Pickups:
The guitar had only one previous owner in the US who bought it brand new. Back then, the bridge pickup was upgraded to a hand-wound Seymour Duncan DDJ wound by Maricela Juarez (who now runs the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop). This is a true "holy grail" high-output pickup from the 1980s that sounds absolutely killer. The neck pickup is the original Pat No. 2737842 "The Original" Bill Lawrence (commonly referred to as the HB-R). If you prefer a matching original HB-L for the bridge, they pop up from time to time on eBay or Reverb for around €130–€180, but personally, I think it would be a shame to replace this SD DDJ.

Reason for Selling & Price:
I have come to realize that I am simply more of a Stratocaster guy, so I am seeing if there is any interest for this beautiful piece here in Europe. I paid way too much for it when I bought it, but my asking price to let it go is €4,650 (approx. 53,000 SEK). Offers are welcome, but please keep them reasonable.

Location & Shipping:
The guitar is located in Sweden. While you are more than welcome to come and test it out at my place through a 1985 Marshall JCM800 2204 connected to a 1983 Marshall 1982A cabinet, insured international shipping is fully supported. The guitar will be packed professionally and securely in its hard case, inside a proper guitar shipping box with plenty of padding.

Fully insured shipping within Europe (and worldwide) can easily be arranged at the buyer's expense.

Note: The photos used are from the shop where I originally bought it, as their pictures are much sharper than what I could take with my phone. If you want more specific photos of anything, just let me know!

The guitar is also listed for sale in Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, and on Facebook under my real name.
