1994 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black, nicknamed the "Black Beauty" by Gibson enthusiasts.
From a highly sought-after, excellent production era: 1994, part of the series manufactured during Gibson's 100th-anniversary year.
A unique detail regarding the serial number: the first two digits stamped on the back of the headstock indicate the year (94xxxx), and the potentiometers are also stamped xx94xx.
According to my friend Mike Ancel—the lead machinist whose talent contributed to the production of Gibson Les Pauls, SGs, Thunderbirds, Firebirds, Nighthawks, and more (500 bodies and 500 necks per day!) between November 1993 and the end of 1994—the 1994 models produced on the brand-new $1 million machine (capable of crafting 8 Les Pauls or 10 SGs simultaneously with absolute precision!!) remain the best in terms of quality, precision, craftsmanship, finish, and more.

Very good overall condition; features a '60s Slim Taper neck that is very comfortable to play. Original frets are also in very good condition for their age—rated 7/10 (see photos for details).
Perfect playability and feel, thanks in large part to the ebony fretboard.
Massive sustain and resonance! Legendary tone...
* Certified: no cracks, no breaks *
