Video Features 100% maple shells The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high frequencies ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers and a focus on shell forming and edge shape. Edges The 45° angle cut on the edges means they contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring ideal head-to-shell contact. The result is clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on tom drums create quick attack and short sustain, while rounded edges on bass drums generate unique and warm vintage sound. Finish The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives every kit a unique appearance and distinctive sound. The lacquer used for the Maple series finish is of the highest quality. Tube Lug Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug "floats" above the shell, so as to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of tuning instability, each drum features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has double security in the form of washers—metal and nylon—which guarantee tuning stability. Chrome hardware All hardware in Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum. Mounting system A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design allows toms to be positioned closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, aluminum components ensure lighter weight. Bass drum spurs The spurs on Polmuz kits are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning. Heads Clear, 1-ply bearing heads of high quality are used on the drums. The batter heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a prominent Polmuz logo.
