For sale: vintage Gibson GA-18 Explorer tube combo (late 50s – early 60s). A true rarity from Gibson with that classic warm tweed tone. Around 14 watts of power, 6V6 tubes, single channel, three inputs — simple controls that deliver a lively, musical sound.

This particular amp has a few changes:

• the original 10” speaker was replaced by the previous owner with a 12” Jensen P12Q — giving it a bigger, richer sound;

• the original plastic logo crumbled and was replaced with a brass one;

• it has undergone a professional service (all necessary work done);

• the wooden part of the handle is missing, but the metal base is intact and holds perfectly;

• the tweed shows some cigarette marks — adding true vintage character.

In recent years, the amp has only been used in the studio, so it’s been well cared for and hasn’t seen stage wear.

It sounds amazing: warm, dynamic, and authentically vintage. Perfect for recording, home playing, or small gigs.
