Eddie Van Halen was known for infusing his identity into all his guitars. With his visionary approach, Eddie created some of the most iconic guitars in the history of Rock.
One of these is the "Shark," which was crafted from an Explorer by literally cutting away a piece of the body, then finishing it with his classic "Stripes" design.
This instrument was first used during the 1978 World Tour and featured on the back cover of the 1980 album "Women and Children First."
After years of requests, EVH has finally introduced this iconic model. It features an ash body, a glued maple neck with a "C" profile. The fingerboard boasts a compound radius of 12"-16", 22 jumbo frets, and dot inlays.
The pickups are a pair of EVH Wolfgang® Alnico 2 Humbuckers, capable of producing a powerful yet articulate sound, rich in sustain.
Completing this unique instrument is a chrome bridge made of solid brass, a brass nut, and low-friction potentiometers.
