I am offering my 1989 Gibson Les Paul Standard in "wine red" as I am looking to downsize my guitar collection. For an electric guitar that is nearly 40 years old, it is in very good condition, though it naturally shows signs of use, such as scratches. We are a non-smoking household.

It remains largely original (see notes below). It sounds absolutely fantastic and comes with the original Gibson "chainsaw" case - a highly sought-after item for which collectors sometimes pay up to 400 euros - as well as the desirable original "The Original" humbuckers, which sound excellent. Weight: approx. 4.3 kg.

The guitar has just been serviced by a luthier: the nut has been replaced (with a new bone nut), the tuning machines have been swapped for new, original Gibson tuners, and the humbucker mounting rings (also new, original Gibson parts) and the capacitors in the electronics have been replaced. Furthermore, the guitar has been professionally set up for .010-gauge strings. It is now in top condition and plays like butter. Most of the original parts (tuners, nut, etc.) have been kept and will be included with the purchase.
