It's not a good representation, but hopefully good enough to get an idea of the "new" ultra high gain channel that replaced the "tube clean" voicing.

Sorry for the camera placement and sound. It wasn't even loud. I used the Mp-1 with the Fryette PS2-A, which was a cleaner sound, then the poweramp of the Engl Fireball 25.

Nevertheless, the new channel adds lots of new low-end and aggressiveness, which lets you do easily Rectifier, Mesa, or Soldano Sounds.

The top of the unit got some scratches, as you can see on the new photos, but other than that, it looks very good. One screw of the top panel is missing.

I am selling a freshly and immaculately clean modded ADA MP-1 preamp with the famous 3TM, three tube mod, with all the other modifications that are offered in MarshallJMP-Modsho.. This is the 3TM ultra+ mod.

The work was done by Philippe alias MarshallJMP himself, and there is no better way getting an MP-1 modded or maintained to get sure that it will be up and running for a long time.

The work is completely new, and it came back to me just a few weeks back.

I am just selling it because of other unexpected projects.

The last three pictures show costs for the modifications, the optocouplers that were replaced, and the tubes that were used. If you want to buy it without the tubes, we can talk about a lower price of around 75€ and I can put three old tubes inside, with which it will be running, but which will be needed to get replaced.

This unit was an old one, but the level switch was as part of the modifications taken out of the conception, and it is running on line level only now, like the later units.

The new MDRT Transformer is better quality than the original and is also enabling the tubes to be driven by higher voltages, which is a key for the new mighty gain channel that it has now to offer. Also, it is now ready for 230V and doesn't have the old standard of 220V anymore. A new, longer, high-quality power cord was installed, as well.

The optocouplers are Elmar Perkin Vactrol VTL5C4-2 from Vint'Elec and are the best replacements for one of the most critical parts, because they can needed to be replaced some day and aren't really be produced anymore.

The cost for one was over 40€.

The tubes are brand new and match the recommendations from long experience from Philippe. You can see the production date on them from April 2026.
