I am offering an absolute legend of mid-80s analog synthesis: the Roland JX-8P. Released in 1985, this magnificent 6-voice polyphonic synthesizer represents the absolute pinnacle of Roland's programmable DCO (Digitally Controlled Oscillator) era, delivering a sleek, futuristic design built to challenge the digital tide of the time while keeping its core sound 100% warm, lush, and purely analog.

The JX-8P is world-famous for its deep, glossy, and cinematic sonic character. Utilizing the same core voice architecture and the legendary IR3109 low-pass resonant filters found in Roland's most expensive flagship giants, it produces some of the most beautiful analog strings, velvety pads, punchy metallic basses, and warm brass textures ever created. It is also the native home of the iconic "Soundtrack" preset—one of the most famous, sweeping synth sounds in film and pop music history.

Technically, this Roland JX-8P is in excellent operational condition. A common issue with vintage JX-8Ps is the gradual decay of the membrane button panel and key aftertouch responsiveness. This unit has been meticulously checked by our technician, ensuring all membrane parameters trigger instantly, the bright LED display runs perfectly, and the voice allocation is flawlessly calibrated. Optically, the synthesizer is very well-preserved, showing only normal, light signs of use consistent with its vintage age, keeping a commanding and pristine studio presence.
