The Philips tape recorder N 4512 is a four-track stereo tape machine from Philips.
It has three heads, three motors and three tape speeds (4.75, 9.5, 19cm/s), an electronically controlled drive, front and rear tape control, tape tension control and automatic shutdown at the end of the tape or when the tape breaks (in later versions). Back-coated tape can also be used. On the front there are connections for two microphones and headphones.
