Developed by Seer Systems, founded by Stanley Jungleib (alongside industry veteran Dave Smith), it represented a significant shift from hardware-based synthesis to software-driven instruments .
Key Highlights: Multi-modal synthesis: Reality combined PCM wavetable, subtractive, modal, FM, and physical modeling via Stanford's Sondius WaveGuide—allowing different synthesis types across MIDI channels in real time.
