About this listing
The Canvas Re-Amp takes a recorded track — guitar, bass, drums, vocals, whatever you tracked dry — and gets it back out of your DAW and into a real amp or pedals. Record the take once, clean and dry, then decide on the tone later. Try three different amps, run it through your whole pedalboard, change your mind as many times as you want, without re-tracking a single thing. It works because of the custom-wound transformer inside — that's what converts your interface's balanced line-level signal down to the unbalanced, hi-Z signal your amps and pedals actually expect. Two inputs to get the signal in, XLR or 1/4", so it fits however your interface is set up.Frequency response is flat, 20Hz to 20kHz, on purpose — the box isn't trying to add anything of its own. Whatever color you get is coming from the amp and pedals you're re-amping into, not the box itself. The switches earn their space on the panel: ground lift kills hum from interface-to-amp loops, phase reverse fixes it if something's cancelling out, and there's a mute switch and a high-pass filter to cut unwanted low-end rumble before it hits your rig. Volume knob to set your level. Small, powder-coated aluminum enclosure, easy to keep on a desk or tuck onto a board for reamping on the fly.Basically: track it once, chase the tone as many times as you need after the fact.Specs:Passive re-amping box, custom-wound transformerInputs: XLR + 1/4" balanced (line level)Output: 1/4" unbalanced, hi-Z (to amps/pedals)Flat frequency response, 20Hz–20kHzGround lift, phase reverse, mute switch, high-pass filterVolume controlCompact die-cast enclosure
