The Sabian 18" Paragon crash cymbal, designed in conjunction with Neil Peart of Rush, is a medium-thin crash with an enlarged bell, two styles of lathing, and a sound which tends toward the brighter, crisper end of the spectrum. Explosive attack comes from the responsive top of this crash, with loads of power and volume. The decay is on the shorter side, getting out of the way fairly quickly but with a complex, rich tail.
