Made in the USA in 2021 this acoustic guitar features a body consisting of Mahogany back and sides and Spruce top, Mahogany neck and 18 fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Herringbone rosette, Multi-Stripe purfling and Tortoise pickguard. An Ebony bridge is fitted as well as Larrivee closed gear tuning machines.The Mahogany neck plays exceptionally well, with a profile which might be described as a shallow 'D' shape which provides an easy grip around the whole register. The Ebony of the fretboard is luxurious under the fingers, and with its 16" radius is both traditional and practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The small stature of the Parlor body design is supremely comfortable in the arms and provides a sense of intimacy to the playing experience.The acoustic voice of the Larrivee P-03 is supremely well-balanced thanks to its small size. The Spruce top projects beautifully, and whilst not providing as much volume as a larger body instrument like a dreadnought, delivers plenty of dynamic range without any loss of clarity at higher volumes. The Mahogany back & sides add depth and warmth to the sound which balances beautifully with the brightness of the Spruce.
