This striking guitar features a basswood body and a quarter-sawn maple neck, which is attached to the body via a classic bolt-on joint. An ebony fingerboard with a compound radius ranging from 12 to 16 inches, meanwhile, allows for nimble movements of the fretting hand across 22 jumbo frets. Sound is transmitted to the amplifier via a single EVH Wolfgang humbucker in the bridge position, which impresses with its resonant and powerful tone and is ideally suited to classic rock sounds and singing leads. A volume control with a treble-bleed circuit prevents unwanted loss of treble at low volume settings. Last but not least, the Star electric guitar also features a kill switch and hardware comprising an EVH Floyd Rose tremolo system with a matching locking nut and a handy D-Tuna.
