Sonor Signature African Bubinga Heavy 10/12/14/20

Rare Sonor Signature African Bubinga Heavy drum kit from the mid-1980s in a highly desirable 10/12/14/20 configuration.

The Sonor Signature series represented the absolute top level of Sonor production during the 1980s. The Heavy series features massive 12-ply beech shells with genuine African Bubinga veneer on both the exterior and interior.

This is a second-generation Signature Bubinga kit with matching wooden bass drum hoops.

14" x 16" floor tom
20" x 17" bass drum

The 10/12/14/20 configuration is particularly unusual for a Signature Heavy kit. Many kits from this period were supplied with larger toms and bass drums. The 14" floor tom is especially desirable and difficult to find.

The complete kit has received a full professional service by Vintage Drums Norway.

The drums have been disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. All hardware has been inspected, polished, lubricated and adjusted, and all mechanical functions have been checked.

The toms are fitted with new Remo Emperor Clear batter heads.

The bass drum is fitted with nearly new heads: Remo Powerstroke Pro batter and Evans Ebony resonant head. A new Sonor logo has been fitted to the front head.

The drums are in excellent overall condition. Technically, the kit is in top working order. Cosmetically, it is very well preserved, with some minor signs of use and small marks in the exterior Bubinga veneer. Please study the photos carefully for condition.
