We are offering a rare Ludwig Rock / Concert L-482 snare drum, crafted from 3-ply maple with reinforcement rings, previously owned by none other than Nick Mason, the legendary drummer of Pink Floyd. A drum with a history as unique as its owner!

A Legendary Drum with Unique Provenance: This snare is being sold on behalf of a client who acquired it from Nick Mason through his connection with the legendary drum store Footes in London.

Established in 1920, Footes supplied Nick Mason with his first drum kit in 1958 – and later, this very snare drum. Mason owned it for many years before donating it back to the store in 2012, which at the time was run by Rob Wilson in close collaboration with Mason himself.

A World-Class Piece of Rock History: This is not just an outstanding snare drum but also a unique collector's item for any music lover. It is signed on the inside by Nick Mason and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity from Footes, verifying its legitimacy and historical significance.

Ludwig Rock / Concert L-482 (Modified) – 1977 This exclusive Ludwig Rock / Concert L-482 was manufactured in 1977, during the era of Ludwig's Blue & Olive Badge. The serial number is #1507256

Finish and Materials: The drum retains its original Maple Cortex N0.2385 wrap, a durable and visually appealing finish. The shell is built with classic 3-ply maple construction, reinforced with support rings.

Condition and Modifications: The instrument is in excellent condition and features a modified snare mechanism, enhancing its functionality while preserving its classic sound. The exact details of when and by whom this modification was carried out remain unknown. The drum is delivered exactly as it was when owned by Mason, including its original drumheads.
