The "Gretsch G6122T-62 Vintage Select Edition Chet Atkins" has been carefully reproduced according to the specs of the original down to the smallest detail. Here you'll find an impressive 3-ply laminated maple top, a classic maple neck in the standard "U" shape, plus a dark ebony fingerboard with Pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays. And as befits a "Gent," it's equipped all around with classy gold hardware, like the original with a tuning-stable Bigsby B6G vibrato and a golden Vintage Plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo. Even the somewhat unusual double foam string mutes with red felt surrounds were taken 1:1 from the original to ensure the absolute authenticity of this instrument. The two TV Jones® FilterTron pickups produce a tonal variety of harmonic overtones that are perfect for distinctive Rock 'n' Roll licks, classic Country rhythms or driving Rockabilly riffs.
