-This unit is Full of EDCOR transformers and sounds very nice indeed.

I bought this new from Black Lion Audio When it came out. Loaded with transformers. It has av very good sound. I have used it for summing microphones but also running stuff through it in the mix. It really sounds AWESOME. This is a RARE piece and was discontinued early for an MKII version that has other transformers.
The MK1 Which Im selling has more of a Neve console sound compared to the MKII which has more of a Api Style sound if I remember correctly.
NOISE MOD:
These first units were known for having noise issues. Black Lion Audio then recommended to buy the MKII version, but since I loved the sound I sent it to POM Audiodesign (Fairchild,Pye etc.)

You can see pics from the mod (upgrade) here :
I will send the full report from the noise mod with pics and diagram. Here are the improvements:
Here is what I measured:
Passive Output = -82dB
Transformer output = -62dB
Transformerless Output -50dB

Here is what I measured after I'd finished tonight :

Passive Output
= -115 dB noise in the full Audio range.
= -118dB noise measured between 1Hz and 350Hz (That's where all the hum, 50Hz and 100Hz noise normally is...)
That is 33dB to 36dB quiter than beforte!!!!

Transformer output
= -95 dB noise in the full Audio range.
= -100dB noise measured between 1Hz and 350Hz (That's where all the hum, 50Hz and 100Hz noise normally is...)
That is 33dB to 38dB quiter than beforte!!!!

Transformerless Output
= -88 dB noise in the full Audio range.
= -96dB noise measured between 1Hz and 350Hz (That's where all the hum, 50Hz and 100Hz noise normally is...)
That is 38dB to 46dB quiter than beforte!!!!
NOTE! The unit is still not free from noise after the upgrade but the noise is not noticable for my use. I always ran a hot signal into it to get the most benefit and nice sound from the transformers. I just cranked the output from my preamps into the channels and set the master transformer out to the unity setting ( star sticker)
There is a slightly bad paint job on one of the sides( se photo) It was like that when I bought it, Its not very visible.
Unit is set to 230 V but can be changed to 110 V with fuse replacement.
Worldwide shipping is 100 EURO

Thanks for looking:)
