The Whammy pedal is one of DigiTech's great coups. With the Whammy I from 1993, a new effect category was created - a pitch shifter, which can be used to change the pitch using a pedal in real time. The DigiTech Whammy DT is the flagship of the Whammy series - besides the classic polyphonic pitch shifting by pedal, the pitch of the guitar can also be shifted up or down in semitones. With a button, hammer-on and pull-off effects can be simulated. The effects programs can also be switched via MIDI.
