Benny Greb has gained a lot of support from all over the world with his versatile performance. Ten years after the great success of his first collaboration with the signature snare drum, the new "Benny Snare" is back with even more power.
Benny declares “This isn't just an update, it's an upgrade.” The 13x5.75-inch beech wood shell, which carries over from its predecessor, is Scandinavian birch veneer with bubinga wood inlays. It features vintage teardrop lugs from the 1950s and a dual glide snare strainer.
And don't forget the new damper system called "MonoRail". It comes with two dampers, fitted with Benny's favorite damper materials called "The Felt" and "The Sheep". The dampers are interchangeable, giving you more sound options.
Furthermore, a completely new attempt resulted in a brass shell model. The 1.2mm thick brass plate has a vintage brass finish, and the same teardrop lugs as the wood shell are used. Its sound has the warmth and roundness typical of brass, with pleasing overtones that accentuate the edge rimshots. Exactly copied dimensions from the previous model's wood shell also improve bottom end and resonance line sensitivity. Here comes Benny's favorite metal shell snare drum he's ever come across.
