Wampler Pedals Clarksdale Delta Overdrive
The Clarksdale is an excellent interpretation of the Tube Screamer circuit, but with significantly more tonal options. It retains the famous TS-style midrange, while offering active Bass, Mid, and Treble EQ, making it much easier to adapt to different guitars and amps. The Smooth/Lift switch alters the overdrive's character and clipping structure, while the gain control remains highly versatile, ranging from a light crunch to a fairly aggressive drive. It's a particularly good boost pedal for pushing a tube amp, but it can also serve as a primary overdrive thanks to its much more flexible EQ compared to a TS808/TS9. The V1 was released in 2014, followed by the V2 in 2017; it's made in the USA and operates at 9V, with an 18V option for the V2.
