But the vast world of MIDI isn’t neglected either, as the S4 is also equipped with MIDI I/O. Ableton users can also look forward to Ableton Link compatibility via Wi-Fi. Update 2.0 with numerous improvements and new featuresWith OS 2.0, Torso Electronics is delivering the S4’s biggest update since its launch. The update includes a complete overhaul of the core engine, introducing improvements and expanding the S4’s functionality. Highlights include macro controls, scenes, varispeed recording, playback with unlimited sample length and new dynamic modulation options. The display interfaces have also been comprehensively revamped. New functions such as copy and duplicate make operation significantly easier; both contribute immensely to an improved workflow.
